Platt Coiler Products: Trusted Coiling Machines for the Electric Heating Element Industry
Platt Coiler offers two of the most versatile and reliable coiling machines for the electric heating element industry. The World Model 3000 and the Brute Coiler are backed by the same tried-and-tested technology that has kept our coilers on shop floors for 70+ years. The World Model 3000 handles wire gauges from 15-30, with inner coil diameters of .0031 in to 3/8 in. The Brute Coiler handles gauges from 8-20 with inner coil diameters of .0080 in to 1/2 in. Both coilers are designed and built in the USA.

World Model 3000
The World Model 3000 is a time-tested solution for electric heating element coiling, offering a long list of user-friendly features. From a touchscreen PLC to automated gate controls, you can pre-program your entire coiling process with the World Model 3000.
Out of the box, the World Model 3000 is a highly versatile coiling machine. It can also be scaled up and down to support different wire gauges, coil diameters and coil types. With standard tooling, the World Model 3000 takes wire gauges from 15 to 30 AWG. Coil outer diameters start at .050 in (0.127 cm) and can be tooled all the way up to support outer diameters of up to 1.0 in (2.54 cm). These coils can be single, twin, triple or space wound. Twin coils require only a few simple add-ons, and the World Model 3000 comes with a twin depailer and spool spindle. The World Model 3000 produces coils from both pail packs and spools, and can coil both ribbon/flat and standard resistance wire.
Brute Coiler
The Brute Coiler is Platt Coiler’s solution for manufacturers requiring a heavy-duty coiling machine. Like the World Model 3000, the Brute Coiler is outfitted with the latest user-friendly features. Using the touch-screen PLC, operators can control wire movement, measurement and precision cutting.
The Brute Coiler takes wire gauges from 8 to 20, and can support outer diameters of up to 1.25 in (3.175 cm). These coils can be single, twin, triple or space wound—or even porcupine coils, with an optional add-on.
The Brute Coiler delivers exceptional power with its array of customized components, featuring a three-horsepower motor and a universal U-joint drive shaft for maximum coiling forces and torques. The Brute Coiler’s customizable air cutter includes an air intensifier, more than doubles its cutting force.
